Book 6: The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach

When I ordered Miss P's Home for Peculiar Children, I needed another book to up my total to earn free shipping. I searched and searched and finally decided to take a chance on The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach, and I am glad I did.

I thought this would be kind of a dude book because it was about baseball, but knowing I do enjoy watching baseball and this seemed like something I wouldn't normally have read, I decided I should read it.

I think an understanding and interest in baseball are key to enjoying this book. There are chapters were there is a lot of description of baseball games, but that isn't the only thing this book is about.

I feel in love with the characters who each face struggles of their own. I couldn't wait to see where the story would take them next. And I kind of loved that my baseball team (the St. Louis Cardinals) were part of the story.

So if you enjoy a good story about people and their relationships and life struggles, as well as being a baseball fan, you should check this out.
